Abstra is the largest independent producer of video content on YouTube in Poland. Abstra owns a wide portfolio of YouTube channels and social media profiles through which it reaches millions of viewers every month.

Our channels

Our channels represent various thematical segments, e.g. entertainment, edutainment, lifestyle and sport. Abstra creates as well content for external partners, not only for YouTube but as well for SVOD platforms. In its portfolio Abstra also has YouTube channels created in cooperation with commercial partners – “Jak TO Robić?” with Durex and “Gra w życie” with Zabka Polska retail chain.

Target group

Our target group consists of millennials and members of “generation Z”. Members of these two groups are our main audience. Most of our viewers are between 13 and 30 years old.

Our history

STORY OF ABSTRA

The history of Abstra begun in 2016. On that frosty autumnal morning, just day before the Halloween…oh wait!

The truth is that the history of Abstra has begun 4 years, 23 days, 10 hours, 15 minutes and 47 seconds before. 12th October of 2012. On that very day Robert Pasut, Czarek Jóźwik and Rafał Masny uploaded on YouTube their first video entitled “Co mówią: GIMBUSY?” (What: middleschoolers say?). Now it serves as an example of cult YouTube video, but in times of the developing YouTube it was something else. It was a TRUE RE-VO-LU-TION.

The rave reactions of viewers became a real success due to regular publications, lots of humour and Abstrachuje.tv progress with video making. Next years followed with another millions of views, subscribers and with the true explosion of new ideas, commercial contracts and new YouTube channels.

2016

Finally the year 2016 approaches. Poland football team qualifies into quarterfinal of the European Championship, Leonardo DiCaprio gets his Oscar Award and the world drowns in the 80s nostalgia due to “Stranger Things” premiere. In the very same year Robert, Czarek and Masny decide to break loose from the mcn chains and sail into the YouTube ocean on their own terms. They are finally free and hungry for new ideas. New YouTube channels are opened: “Beksy” which is a girl’s equivalent of “Abstrachuje.tv”; amusing series about the lives of high-schoolers titled “Nieprzygotowani” and the channel with youtubers trying things for the first time called “Hajlajt”. What’s more, Paweł Svinarski puts on a suit and wonders loudly if all of things we do is made “for money” (translation of his channel “Dla Pieniędzy”).

2019

Three years later Abstra is the largest producer of video content on YouTube in Poland. In our team we have dozens of employees and company’s revenue is close to 10 million PLN. Abstra’s portfolio consists of 14 channels, which in total have over 2 billion views. During this time Abstra developed rapidly with vlogs, a full-length cinema movie, first projects produced for external partners even beyond YouTube. Masny took part in huge TV-show and the “Foot Truck” channel became one of the most influential football formats in the whole Polish media landscape.

What’s next? The history of YouTube in Poland is made by Abstra on a daily basis. Soon you will hear more about new projects which are constantly born in heads of Abstra creators and employees.
